Zhenhai High School: Head of English

At Zhenhai High School, a prestigious institution in Ningbo, China, I first took on the role of Head of English. The head of school was impressed with my data-driven and research-oriented approach to teaching. This position allowed me to lead the English department and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning. At Zhenhai I did my teaching practice, research and coursework for my Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from the University of Sunderland.

My time at Zhenhai High School was a transformative experience. I was able to apply my knowledge from the PGCE program and develop my leadership skills. I also had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and teachers, which enriched my understanding of education in an international context. As the Head of English, I was able to make a significant impact on the school's English program. I implemented new teaching strategies and resources that improved student engagement and performance. I also led the department in developing a more cohesive and effective curriculum that better prepared students for their future studies.
